My buddy and I had plans to hit Sag. Bay or LSC on Sun. With the busy weekend, he mentions that Monday would be better for him. Well...he bails late Sunday night which has now effectively screwed 2 AM's for me. I was determined to wet a line, so I took the GF and her little girl (7yr old) out to Seven Lakes State Park on Sunday. Caught a few nice LM's on a watermelon Senko. The lake is on the verge of being choked out with lily-pads and milfoil and there was serious algae blooms on Sunday. Have had some pretty decent catches here over the years and not much traffic. More boats than normal this time due to the holiday weekend, but we managed. I like to get down there through the week when I'm short on time. The lake can fish pretty decent at times, and the evening topwater can be tremendous. Guess I'm gonna have to look forward to this coming weekend before I can get my hands on a smallie again.
