Got out yesterday for a few hours. Boated 25. We got a few really nice ones in the 4+ range and one that was 5. Yesterday's bite was good really early, then it slowed until about 11 when it got hot again. Around 11 we found some fish in 10 FOW and we were getting doubles. It was hot and heavy for a while right up until my brand new Shimano rod broke while boating a fish. Nice huh? I expected better from Shimano. Anyway, we fished until it slowed down a little and ended up with 25. Most came pretty deep for us. We were into pre-spawners in 19 FOW with deep cranks and those were the better fish. When we got up in the 10 FOW range, the fish got more abundant, but a lot smaller. The water temp was 61 in the morning. I think the lake is setting up nicely for the MadWags Open, you guys should really catch em. Wish I could be there. With the kind of day we had today, I think I might finally have had a good Open. LOL
