Title: Belleville Lake report
Post by: LAPORTE on May 02, 2013, 07:56:20 AM
A friend of mine (hookedonsmallies) I think its his screen name here... ?  called for my first outing this year on the great Belleville lake.
I meet up with him at 4 pm with 2 rods and a small tackle bag. Our first stop was in some shallow water (kind of a creek arm) the water temp was an amazing 62 deg. We fished around some docks and against some seawalls with no luck. We then moved out to deeper water and tried some cranking also with no luck. At last we went even deeper and I went to my trusty dropshot rig... and BAM fish on..!!!  we found them prespawn nice smallies full of eggs. after the first 2 hours of not catching them we spent the last one and half catching a nice limit of about 10lbs or so. IM not much on reports... but hey I posted something..lol St Clair this Saturday with the bride. (weather permitting)

Ps. thanks again Dennis had a great time and you did a awsome job on the boat resto...

I had an hour to fish on belleville lake Saturday .So i hit the water for a quick test drive and a fix of smallmouth action. I was fishing 15' and more of water on drop shot rig . Slow pace fishing with good rewards. Got 4 keepers in less than an hour. See you out on the water. Fish safe

I didn't keep any bass . Every fish I catch gets a proper releasing back into its habitat.
