Title: NBAA 1 on 1
Post by: Duke on January 25, 2007, 09:32:22 AM
Just curious if anyone is fishing these divisons in 07. I will be fishing the Cass County Division and hope to make the classic on Gun Lake. Sounds like a great deal. Its an opportunity to fish individually w/o the major commitment of BFL and is much closer to home. Below is the link to the website and schedules. They advertise that they will be coming out with several more divisions. I hope to see some of you out there.

I will be fishing some of these but not that division.  I just have to wait for the divisions to come out in my neck of the woods.  Should be a good time.

It would probably be easier if I just mailed you a check....but I guess I'll go ahead and make the donation in person. 8)

Went over 6 span today - they've started! No one on Eagle this morning but soon I'm sure. HUGE perch!!! ;D

looking forward to see where the Oakland county lakes will be.  also the Lake Stclair super qualifier on June 17 is the same day as the ABA.  both out of Harley.  going to be crowded this year.

big lake big launch ramp it will be fine, what would be nice is if we could somehow let the guys that want to fish both do so since its at the same ramp.

who is putting on the super qualifier I couldnt find it on nbaa's site?

This is a new venture for NBAA, Im sure they didnt want to do a whole bunch of these tournaments and not have that much interest in them. Maybe next year.

Jim and Jack are putting on the super qualifiers. You only have to fish one of these super qualifiers to qualify for the 1 on 1 championship, I think its going to be the top 20 anglers out of each of these tournaments that get to go to the championship.

I'll be fishing one or maybe two of the CASS county tourneys.  Magician for sure and I haven't decided on the rest.  If canvsbk fishes Diamond we should all stay at home :)

BRONZEBACK6 (or should it really be 5-10?) after the whoopin's you delivered on us @ Paw Paw I'm going to claim you as a dependant on my income tax this year so I don't want to hear about stumbling on a couple dumb ones @ Diamond!! ;D ;D
Besides, I'll fish Magician just on the chance I'll get to see you fall out of the boat again!! ;D
Hope all is well - see you in the spring.

We would be glad to have you Berkley, this should be a fun format. The lakes arent that big but I didnt think we would get a ton of boats the first year. I guess we will have to see, It will be fun no matter what...

What are your entry fees going to be for these one on one tournaments?
Title: Re: NBAA 1 on 1
Post by: Duke on January 30, 2007, 01:45:36 PM
Entry fee is $40 but $60 for Super Qualifiers. I think the Cass County division will get a large turnout. I think this will grow exponentially the next few years.

Why do you have to pay an extra $15.00 membership for the 1 on 1 tournaments? ??? Do you get some extra stuff for that $15.00 on top of the $30.00 that you already pay? ??? That sounds odd maybe it was a miss print in the mag that I got ???

No you read right, it has a $15 membership. I believe the money goes toward the classic which is totally seperate from the regular championships.

The One on Ones are a totally seperate curcuit from regular NBAA , its just like the ABA and the Bassmasters weekend series, You have to have a membership to both to fish the bassmasters weekend series.

It amazes me that it is always about what someone gets and never about what NBAA has and does give back.  You can't beat their classics, divisional championships, banquets, special events, open events.  They actually seem to care about what they are giving back to the anglers.

If you fish the 1 on 1 only then do you have to pay the regular $30.00 membership? or can you just pay the $15.00.

The way the magazine reads is that you must have a singles membership.  If you go to the NBAA web site and go to join nbaa it says that a singles membership is 45.00 for the year.

So let me get this straight, $15.00 goes to the classic, Dose the hole $15.00 go to the classic or is it a percent of the $15.00. Then is the tournament 100% payback or dose some of the entry go to the classic, how much? what is the percent of the payback at the ramp?
Title: Re: NBAA 1 on 1
Post by: LGMOUTH on February 17, 2007, 01:35:33 PM
From what I know right now the entrys to the divisional one on ones are the same as the weeknight entrys and the payback is going to be the same. The super qualifiers are going to be a little bit more because there is only three tournaments and you can qualify just by entering one and finish in the to 20.
Im not sure if all or a portion of the membership goes toward the classic but I know some of it does. Im sure the rest of it is used to set up the divisons, flyers, banners, etc.

This is a new tournament curcuit so as things get closer to tournament time Im sure NBAA will have all the answers.
