I took my son to Muskegon Lake for about 2 hours this afternoon. It is a muddy mess. The fish were pretty well scattered in 10 feet of water or deeper. We mustered up 11 smallies and 1 largemouth. The lm was the biggest at about 2#. I didn't have great expectations, just happy my boy got his line stretched and broke in his new rod and reel. Off to Fremont in the morning with my dad. Hope to find some pigs.
Sounds like you did pretty good considering. Always good to get the kids on some fish!
