Does anyone know what it is... Also is opening day going to be a home run.. what is your best guess... I want to take my wife and daughter out kinda wondering if I should wait a week or not...

opener should be good...
as far as i know, there should be large quanitites of bass available in many spots around the lake... they should be biting quite well, probably better than most years since we are so delayed with the cold weather.
Water temp wise I think you'll be okay. I would be more concerned about water clarity. All the rain has muddied the water. Hopefully it will clear this next week. All about how much rain we get. Opening weekend weather looks pretty good on the long range forecast.

If you have a smart phone the Marine Weather by Bluefin ap will give you NOAA and Bouy data....It also has up to date radar...
Plus... some guy put all the weather, temp, satellite, etc. links you ever need for everything you can think of at www.greatlakesbass.com/weather/
Its a muddy cold mess out there. I saw 46 @ the Clinton and 51 in the back of a canal I was fishing for crappie in the past few weekends.
I bet you still enjoyed your time out there! I know I would!
