The championship starts today, and I am surprised to see no mention of it anywhere. A local bass fisherman has the opportunity to earn a spot in the BassMaster Classic! I't seems like that would be news worthy?
I did check the weather and it is COLD down there in Gadsden, Alabama. 28 degrees with 20 deg wind chill. Should play well into the northerners hands. Anyone know if there is going to be any coverage of the weigh-ins?
So who's the locale?
thomas
I just got the reminder in my email today, but the todo list is pretty long... I figured someone else would take up the slack. I imagine BassFan.com will have something on it.
I think the Michigan angler is Scott Lakey or something close to that.
???Yep, it was Scott Lakey. BassMaster.com has a story on the first day results. It does not appear that Scott is even fishing ???
I guess it is just another tournament with people I have never heard of. 19.25# to lead on the first day sounds good though. Especially with this cold weather.
here is the story link from bassmaster.com

wondering what happened to Scott ???
So far - no one seems to know???
Looking at the results, position 21 is missing - and no, there is not a tie above or below.
Maybe BASS just screwed up. There tournament results look like they are stored on an arcaic system compared to what FLW has, so I can imagine they make a few mistakes.
Could be a glitch in the web page display too.
SCOTT LAKEY found!
See the Day 2 standings below, Scott is in 33rd.
