I am not one of those fanatic NASCAR fans but I do enjoy watching it and like voices such as Ernie Harwell, Bruce Martin, Keith Jackson, Howard Cossell are and were to there sports, so was Benny Parsons to racing. When I heard his voice it brought you close to the track and made you feel like he was your friend.
It was sad to read today that he past away after his cancer and lung battle.
He will be missed by this long northern red-neck.
