This may be the first opening day in the last few years I may actually be able to fish. I can't believe there is no soccer game for me to go to. So if nothing changes, LSC is where I'll be.

BD.                        ;D

I was looking at the lake levels and they are quite a bit lower than last year. But they expect them to come up a bit. Anyone hear anything?

I was looking at a house on lake leelanau. I've never fished it. Is it any good?  I saw it was pretty big (long). We have a place now on bass lake a little south of there (350 acres). Which is loaded with small bass. Never heard much talk about leelanau

Have done real good in spring and fall. They have a fall tournament there that has a few pro's show up young Vandam was there last year.  Have personally weighted 4.5 and 5 pound fish, have time you should fish it .

I spent a week on leelanau both years BAU had there classic in the fall there and the fishing was phenominal for the most part. Most practice days we had 24-25lb limits. This year me and a buddy are running payback bass west division and decided to have the first tournament on Lake leelanau on May 26th. Never fished there in the spring before but I expect some big bags.

Maybe thats the lake in traverse city that JVD said he saw the biggest smallmouth ever? He wouldn't say which lake but its in/near TC. Probably Torch/Bellaire if you ask me. Thats to much $$$$$ for me though to buy on.

If you're gonna fish lake leelanau save some time to give little/big glen lakes a try in spring.

If too windy try lime lake in cedar.

Starting the season on West Bay outa clinch park then heading to east bay.   Long as the water temps are halfway decent. If not  I'll stick to my home lake chaing and see  what I can dig up outa Elk again.
Hey Tackle. If your headed to leelanau, I got a few spots for ya since its kinda big  . On both lakes  . Might wanan give Long a shot too. It chock full of big everything.

I will be at work all weekend. The last 2 years have been horrible for me....the Nitro got hit on the trailer, and the following year my wife almost died from a blood infection after her surgery.

So, I will take my oldest 2 kids out on Muskegon Lake in the afternoon, weather permitting. It is time my oldest daughter gets a taste of bass fishing. Hope she likes it.

Every year I say that I am not going to LSC on opening day.  The fishing is too easy!  I need to practice on inland lakes.

It's been a loooong winter.  I'll probably be on LSC.
