I just noticed that Guy Harvey is one of the sponsor links along the side margins. I have a couple of his/their t shirts. They are a very high quality with great art work.
If you mean on GreatLakesBass.com, they are not an actually a sponsor advertiser. Probably a generic ad that came up because you've searched or looked at them on the Internet before. I do have a number of generic and affiliate ads in spots showing now because the ad agency canceled those spots, or because I only have an affiliate agreement with a particular company.
The only official sponsor advertisers of GreatLakesBass.com are the ones listed on the Sponsors page (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/sponsors/). I don't list all the short term direct sponsor advertisers on there, just normally anyone who helps for 6 months or longer.
Oh.
Thanks for sharing something helpful for others though.
There are just things like that where my 'job' is to make sure I clarify it if and when I can. Since some of the ads are context ads they can be just about anything depending upon the Internet behavior of the person who is looking at the page (you for instance) so I don't really know what might pop up.
There are some ads I hear about that I'm not really crazy about. I can actually block some of them if anyone notifies me of an ad they find offensive or inappropriate. I cross my fingers and hope that rarely happens. Anyone can opt-out of that kind of advertising. I have explanations how to do that in my Privacy Policy (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/privacy/). Never hurts to remind people I have a Disclosure Policy (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/disclosure.php) too since the FC-something or other part of the government requires that I have that.
Of course, if you can't believe a fisherman, who can you believe?!?
