Title: Yamaha 150 VMax

My brother is buying a 2005 skeeter with a Yamaha 150 Vmax and wants to know if these are good engines and has there been any problems with it tha you heard of. The info is much appreciated.

They are a great motor.  Carburated so they start a little hard when it's cold, but they run out real nice.

I love mine... They are built very well. I rebuilt mine about 4 seasons ago the boat had 11000 miles on the gps when I purchased it..

Make sure he gets a compression check on the cylinders by a marine service tech. It's worth the money.

11,000 miles. That seems like a ton of miles on a boat
