Matteson Marine (http://www.mattesonmarine.com/) in Shelbyville, MI (Gun Lake) will be having an Open House on February 3rd from 9A-3P.  Denny Brauer will be there giving a seminar and signing autographs.  Matteson will have over 20 new Ranger Boats inside to look at and special pricing.  Walleye pro Mark Martin will also be there giving a seminar.

For more info call Matteson @ (269) 672-5292.

After you get Denny's autograph and you finally run out of questions for him (hooksets are free!) stop by and say hi to me too. I'll be there at Matteson from 9 AM until 3 PM just telling tall tales and dreaming about Ranger Z boats with a pretty Yamaha HPDI on the back!

My son and I will be there between soccer games for a little while.  Can't afford to buy a Ranger but looking is free.

I am planning on being there but I don't know when.  I need to find out the seminar(s) schedule and then make a decision.

I'll confirm the seminar schedule and post it - probably tomorrow or Tuesday I think. See you there - anyone who does attend, make sure and intro yourself so I can match screen names to anglers - I know some, but not all and I'm already as forgetful of some things as an octogenarian.

Denny Brauer's seminar is scheduled for 1PM.

You may want to call Matteson Marine to confirm later in the week: (269) 672-5292

Despite the whiteout we saw later in the day, we had a great turnout at Matteson yesterday. Lot's of fun, food, fish stories and special prices on boats.

Oh... and Denny Brauer too. First time I've seen Denny Brauer do a seminar. He was very good. A little humor with some self-deprecating and the opposite, and a lot of straight-forward what works for him and why - so you could figure out how it might work for you. He didn't tell us to do anything that wasn't necessary or that he couldn't back up.

A smart guy would have taped it or taken notes, but I will blame the cold for forgetting that and my camera. I should have some pictures showing up soon though. And hey, Denny may still be here. Who knows, maybe we'll see him around next year...? Naw, they probably eventually found him a flight out.

Randy Ramsey did a nice seminar on finesse earlier and gave away a 'secret' ... I'd share it with just you... but I forget now what it was???

Got to talk to a bunch of anglers. Met a few more GLB members. Picked up a new one or two too. (I said tutu didn't I?)

I have to say, Matteson Marine did a real nice job with the setup and food. The new facilities looked real nice right there along the south shore of Gun Lake. Lots of nice boats to choose from. Real nice friendly people.
