I've decided to fish FOM on the East side this year. Anyone else? I like the fact that it's not too many tournaments and they're mixing up the schedule pretty well. 2 of the tourneys will be launched in the Detroit River. I don't get down to Erie much. If anyone here knows Erie well and would be willing to help me pre-fish it this year, I'd be very appreciative. I'll provide the boat and the gas. Let me know if you'd be willing to go fish it once the season opens.
I'm about 50% sure I'll be at the Wixom event. There is another open there that day as well, I'll probbaly fish one of them.
I'm considering it. I had a chance to talk with the director John for a while on Friday and Saturday. Nice guy....I hope his trail does well. I know FOM has been trying to get a district in these parts for a few years (last year was the first year there was a district on the West side of the state).
I will be fishing it. John is a close friend of mine and he probably wouldnt buy me anymore barly soda's if I didnt. This should be an awsomly run toournament circuit.
The plan is for my friend Scott and I to fish them all this season. There's a pretty good mix for the different bodies of water but my only concern is Cass in August. Tough place to be in the summer. Pray for rain and wind I guess.
The Wyandotte idea for launching sure does average out the running time to either Lake St. Clair or Erie too! I think wind direction will be the determining factor in that one. Neither of us have a monster boat that will beat the worst these lakes can throw at you.
Wishin' I was fishin'
I found out via the website that the Stratos platinum program offers a $500 bounty to the top finisher with a stratos in the FOM division tournaments. Hopfully I can win some bonus cash this year.
