Does anybody use the new style Shimano Chronarch casting reel? I am thinking about getting a few but was wondering how they compare to the older gold Chronarch SF, as in castability and reliability.
I know they are lighter but would like some real world feedback on how they perform before I buy them.

I have one and I love it. I still prefer the Curado, but it is a very good reel. If you can get them for a decent price, I would highly suggest you do.
The new "E" model Chronarch is the old green Curado only it's painted white these days and made in Japan. and you can buy them in the 50 and 200 sizes
If your after the 100 size, The Core is now the "D" model Chronarchs with a magnesium frame vs
Alum.
I agree that the new Chronarch is basically the old Curado. I bought one last year, having a boat load of curados and found it to be very similar and really like it.
Buy a Lew's Tournament Pro, cheaper and better. Will out cast any Shimano.
Outlast, is the key. Only time will tell.
Thanks for the info. Sounds like the new Chronarch is just a green Curado painted white. If that is true why not save some money and buy a Curado.
I think I will stick with the gold Chronarch's I have, maybe buy a few more on ebay.
