Mike S and I are going to try to get on Muskegon one more time... Monday the 31st. If there is an open ramp we can launch the Skeeter in we will give it our best shot... snow or no snow! I caught fish on the first day of the season... why not the last day too!!
Good luck. You are a stouter man than I. I'm dreaming of a hot summer day, no more white cold stuff.
Oh, the Skeeter and I had a talk. She's going in the water. It's on! Can't wait. We will have to wear our sandbar glasses.
Waterfoul, I've been on Muskegon most of last week and Hartshorn is your best bet. I would just plan on your partner walking a little ways to find a good place to jump in after backing you in.
It's worth the extra effort. There are a bazillion baby alewife schooled in the lake and the predators have the feed bag on. ;)
Unfortunately for Waterfoul, we use my boat because I live right there. I went to Fisherman's yesterday, and we could still launch by the last dock.
It's windy as a mutha this morning. There's a small craft advisory on the big lake. Muskegon will be a mess. We won't be able to fish the spots I have been catching fish on. I'm thinking we are Mona Lake bound. That lake is fishable in hurricane winds. It's on!!!!
Hope the ramp is open.
Ramp is open. Lake is frozen. Muskegon bound.
