This was filmed on Florida's Lake Okeechobee which is known for big Largemouth Bass.  They are also known for big gators too.  While fishing we see plenty of gators rising to the surface to sun themselves, thankfully we have never had a problem with them.  I can tell you this it takes a bit of encouragment to get me into the water to film the underwater shots.  ;)
