Well it now comes down to moving to Florida the first of November. It will be different learning to fish salt water but thank goodness I will still have the BFL gator division. I want to thank Dan for the great web site he created and maintains. It is a lot of work to keep all safe that use it, THANKS Dan for all the good work!!!! If any of you know of any sites like GLB I would appreciate the pass along info.
I will be thinking of everyone on GLB when I'm on the water and your here watch the snow (dirty 4 letter word) and ICE .
Good luck to all and again a special thanks to Dan!!

Bah, he can fish for peacock in the canals. I think he'll cope.
Enjoy it. Plus you won't have to pay state tax on retirement thanks to our Gov.
Seriously. Do we still send you reels to be serviced, or are you really really retiring?
You can get GLB on Florida's internet. I'm sure you will have pics and stories to share. Isn't there a fishing reports section for everywhere else on here?
Dave you can't go. I still owe you some drop shot weights from the BFL tourney I fished a few years back ..
Yeah. GreatLakesBass.com is still available in Florida...
No smallmouth bass in Florida that I'm aware of.
Thanksfor the kind thoughts. I'm looking into setting up shop in Florida, I'll keep you posted. I will need something to do on the "cold winter nights" . Laport you can pay Seth back instead of me.

You mean when it gets below 60?!? ;D
If you're sick of fixing reels, just read about the big smallmouth we are catching on GreatLakesBass.com! Sorry. I'm partly jealous and partly thinking I couldn't handle being gone that long from the Great Lakes!

Then he can post pics of his 10+ lb. largemouth he's catching down there.
That will help with the missing smallies! :)
I have to admit . I do miss them giant bucketmouths down there. Plus fishing on christmas day really made me smile cause I knew everyone up here was freezing their baits off.
The first 11+ pounder ya get makes ya think ya hooked a gator. Using live shiners down there is weird. Nothing like bait you can carve up and eat its so big. But they love them things . Like fishing in a 55 gal drum if ya use um now and then.
Haven't tried that yet. I've used shiners up here on river and lake bass. I would catch my own shiners when I was a young 'un and use those to catch bass and pike. Sometimes, I spent almost as much time fishing ultralight for shiners as I spent using the shiners (chubs too) for the bigger fish. I guess I just like fishin' period!
