Pretty slow here at work this time of year so I could really use something interesting to read!!
(only 5 more hours till I head up for the MadWags open... tic toc... tic toc...)
I could complain about how much I hate Spring Lake and people who chuck wacky senkos on it all day?
Right. When everyone knows that you should be drop shotting instead!
Funny thing mojo, I have all the same questions and have gotten no answers from anyone on this site! ;D
See you there.
Yup i would have to agree on the dropshot. You can keep the bait right where you want it for a long time. That gives you a lot of time to be in the strike zone while you fish all 2 spots in spring that get hammered daily and still produces huge 1.5 pound fish every time! And if you get sick of that i could list plenty of places to catch weeds and sheephead :) i love spring lake!
I will be on my way in about 3 hours. Should be sleeping, but........ Hopefully Skeg fishes better than last year. If not, I can definitely say I will never go back. I'm not really looking forward to the drive up there and back by myself.
I think michigan bass season should be open all year, 12 inches should be legal, limits should be 15 fish and more people should post good bass recipes.
Just trying to start up some drama for you, oh, snagging should be ok too
There you have it. That would start major drama.

Are you freaking kidding me? Everyone knows there are NO good bass recipes. :o
The rest looks good to me. :D
Well, if 12 inches was legal, we could have weighed 5 fish Sunday! I guess there is a plus side.
I saw one good recipe for bass stuffed spotted owl
I'm calling to outlaw the use of spinnerbaits. Any drama there ?
How about drop shotting on drowned river mouths?

Why would I want those dirty fish??
I can see it now... Medium extra fast 7'2" spinning rod, 15 lb power pro with an 8 lb floro leader down to a thin wire Owner downshot hook... yeah, like I stand a chance with that combo!! Sure sounds like great snagging gear to me!

As strange as it might seem, I've yet to catch any size Bass on a SpinnerBait?
And yes, I do throw them now and then. The pike love them

Is this considered dropshot fishing? ??? :D
That's a jerkbait hook.
I remember when 10" was the legal limit.

Naw... then all your bass would have been 11 3/4 inches instead of 13 3/4 inches!
