He's from Indiana ... watch out.
A few changes and updates in the original post as of 12:51am on 9/25/2012.
thedude is still fishing with FF. Duck stamps are still required to bring in any waterfowl (not our Waterfoul, the feathered kind), only if in season! ;D
We might end up with an open backseat if someone has to work too late to make it up there Sunday. Don't be shy. Some of us can take 3 total.
I would like to file a formal protest!!!
Genie and LGMOUTH!!!! Really! I don't think that is fair to any other team. You cannot put those two together.
You should swap Ypsibass and lgmouth, I have never fished with lgmouth. That assumes that Ypsi can put up with Genie. ;D
full moon, mid 60's this is going to be a BLAST
I'm usually just grateful to fish on anything besides my jon boat hehe

i hear don has a new 9' jerkbait rod and is going to get up on dougs shoulders to use it. They'll be like MasterBlaster.... and unstoppable force. Who runs barter town?
Is a 9 ft rod legal for this tournament?
I believe this to be an "almost anything goes" tournament Doug... so I'd say the 9 footer is legal.
I honestly have no idea where to begin up there... shallow? Stumps? River? Torch?
i didn't spend much time on skeg last year - from the other lakes i've fished around/near there - fish the breaks and look for steep drops or any abnormal features like points, turns, wood, weeds etc like you would anywhere else. lakes like elk - just drag a tube around and watch your graph. cranks can be a great a search bait and out produce soft plastics if the conditions are right. don't fear the wind.

So noted. I think GenieLogs.com (http://www.genielogs.com/) hacked into the GreatLakesBass.com random draw computer but my network security experts have so far failed to come up with the proof! :-*

Normally. No.... but, I'm willing to make a 1-person exception if you get video of Don trying to use it. Especially if he is on your shoulders at the time!

The MadWags Memorial Members' Tournament is DEFINITELY NOT an 'anything goes' event!?! Clearly, I mentioned before that I will be checking duck stamps this year before any ducks can be weighed in!

Another great attitude! You and Cy can be boat 2!!
I'm sure we could get Don on my shoulders just fine, but Cy and Thedude will probably be driving circles around the boat making the boat tipsy!
Hey! That's just going to make it that much better video!!

Probably? Really, you only think that would probably happen? You better think again!
Wait a second, Im the non boater? I think Genie is the non boater and Im the boater. Wouldnt want to ruin my reputation. And yes Im sure I could get on Dougs shoulders but we will wait until the spring for bed fishing.
All I can do is laugh, and anticipate watching this one go down, when Don takes Genie's boater privileges away.
"No Doug... over there! I want to go over there."
I say we handicap Don and make it so Genie HAS to drive. ;D
Have you seen him drive?!?
I'm not sure how to take that .... :(
Take it in the worst way possible, I'm sure that's how it was meant. :D

NO, shut up and ride in the back, imp.

Whoopsie... sorry about that. Must have been the tournament draw hacker at work... I will fix it.
Okay...
Listen up...
I have 1 new boater - MikesRxBaits - who may be able to make it up and fish with us. If he does, I will move people around so he has a partner to fish with. I have 1 other boater whose non-boater might not make it, so very possible I will ask 1 or 2 of you non-boaters to switch around at the event or maybe an extra boater will want to jump in with someone else instead. We'll figure it out.
I'm sure it will change a little yet. It usually does. I'll work it out with all of you Sunday and we'll go fishing, catch some fish and all have fun.
Just watch out for duck hunters in the wild areas. It is opening day again... shoot (not literally) I thought we might miss it by 1 weekend. Oh well. We will probably flush the ducks from the 'safe' side of the lake to the 'unsafe' again like we did last year in the fog.
The weather looks great! Sunny, high of 62. Let's hope it's not windy.

wind is good. 10mph would be perfect.
I prefer 11mph, but 10 would be ok.
When I say wind I'm talking about the stuff we had to deal with all last weekend. 10 mph (or even 11) isn't wind... that's a breeze.
Much better Dan, Much better.
I want you to be happy. Of course, I did stick you with Doug... But hey! I want you to be as happy as I can make you under the conditions. ;D
He is so happy to be getting to go on a road trip...
ROADTRIP .... squirrel
I've had lots of close calls with squirrels lately... seems like they are doing okay. Had a Red Squirrel infestation out back for a while. NOW... just a few days ago saw my first Gray Squirrel ever Lansing just down the block (black phase).
There must be a squirrel turf war going on!!! Used to be we only had big Fox Squirrels, no Red Squirrels and all the Gray Squirrels stuck to their fancier turf in East Lansing and Okemos!?!
Draw updated. Non-boater had to cancel. We may have a surplus of boaters for a change?!? Will see when we get there.
If you have to make changes from this point on, please contact me by text, email or phone since I will be out and away from the Internet after 3:30PM today. I will PM all of you with my contact info.
OMG!!! How will you survive without the internet? (sent at 2:45 to make sure you get it!)

You totally jinxed me. Congrats to Cy for catching all our fish though. I'm a net expert now. I apologize in advance for cutting off tacklethis' head. You're just too tall.
Sorry I had hi hope... Next year
Sorry for writing so late, I would like to thank Dan, Greatlakesbass and the sponsors ( Geine Logs,Grandt Rods, Angling A.I., The Mangler, K&E Stopper Lures, Mikes Rx Baits, Case Plastics and Kustom Kickers Jigs ) for the great gifts and of course the large cash prize. We really enjoyed fishing with you everyone and hope to make it to the spring MadWags tournament. Thanks Again !
He should have also gotten a prize for the cleanest bass boat on the planet. Did you guys see that Champ? New boats don't come out that clean.
i don't know man, you should hop in french fries stratos some time.
We could have a cleanest boat contest later I guess?? ;D
Glad everyone showed up and participated! Glad and thankful things went pretty good and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I'm behind (as usual) but working on results and pictures to be done this evening along with follow up thanks to all the great companies who donated and offered benefits to this event! Please remember them when you are making your purchase and equipment decisions! GLBass Sponsors (http://glbass.com/sponsors).
Every time you mention GreatLakesBass.com to one of them I hear about too! When one of you is kind and considerate enough to thank one of them for their support of this website, it has great and lasting impact! Thanks!

And that was after two days of fishing. You should see it now Justin. It needs some major work after this last trip. My brother keeps his boat even cleaner. I know there are times when there are better things to do than clean a boat, but they are such a HUGE expense. Just want it to last a long time. Besides, I want to at least LOOK the part. LOLOLOLOL :)
look the part of what exactly??
