Title: My tourney season is finally over
Post by: TheFishinPollock on September 10, 2012, 06:09:41 PM
Well , yesterday marked my last  event for the year.   I'm about evented out thats for sure. Did the CCBA open on Leelanau.  Busted out a whopping sack at 12 pounds :D.   Had some stiff compitition.   Tony D , Ostefnhausin??  not sure how ya spell it, and of course the VanDamm crew minus Randy and Kevin.  Did manage to place better than anyone from my NBAA division at least.  But alas , no check.

Now onto the fishing report...................

Pops on the other hand was  amazing with his , 5 foot outa the water , baseball swing with the net grab. I was impressed.

Completely trasheddddddddddddddddd the boat.  Soft plastic parts all over, line clumps on the floor, and a scum line a half inch thick from being in the water for 3 days.  Rained all day friday and most of saturday. Then the wind picked up for 2 days.

Now it's just relaxing days of fishing for the heck of it.

Wow... sounds like you had fun!

I have 4 events left.  The RDT Classic on  Paw Paw this Sunday, the COTM Classic on Hamilin next Sunday, the Hawg Hunt on Green/Duck, and the Madwags Open on Skeg.

It's time to fun fish for smallies now!!

Two scheduled. The last of my NBAA "Fall" division on Lake Ovid, tomorrow, then the NBAA Fall Championship on St. Clair next week Fri. and Sat. Those are the last of the scheduled events. There are several "Opens" that usually grab my interest in the fall.

Hopefully, I'll get in a couple more trips to St. Clair, and a couple to Erie.

I'll be at the hunt , even though I detessssssssssttttttttttttttttt those 2 lakes, if it's not  cold, any combo of rain/snow and of course  at skeg .

I wanted to bring the boat down for the St Clair open, but alas. My boss is a  , well  ;D  and I can't get the time off .

We just finished our last event for the Huron Valley-Washtenaw division this past Sunday.  This was our first year fishing tournaments, I am can't wait for next year.  We didn't win anything, but we had a really good time and learned alot.  I am hoping to get a newer/better suited boat before next season, because my 87 mirrorcraft with a 30 HP is not a good tourney boat.  If anyone knows of any "open" tournaments left this year that would be well suited for a much smaller boat, let me know.  I am not really ready for my tournaments to be done for the year.  And if anyone is looking for a tournament circuit to fish next year, give Huron Valley Bass some consideration.

There's the Last Chance on Cass Lake at the end of October sometime. I believe it is still going on. VinceR would probably know.

Is it Saturday or Sunday for the Last Chance? I always thought it was on a Sunday... wish my memory 'chips' weren't 'corrupted!'

Bosshawg had it right.   The chiller at kent is on the last Saturday and the last chance is on Sunday in October.

There is an open on wixom lake sometime in early October.

There are usually a couple of "opens" on Cass in October.

The "Freeze Out" is October 20th on Wixom. Entry is $100.00.
