Title: Muskegon Lake 9-6
Post by: Mike S. on September 06, 2012, 04:21:42 PM
My mother in law has been hinting around to me taking her fishing for probably 3 years now. I finally broke down and took her with this morning.

We hit the lake around 7:30. We fished well known community holes all day. Started with top water, and went empty handed. Tied on Senko's, and started catching. We caught several  in the 14 to 15 inch range. They were biting pretty good.

We got a couple that were close to 3 pounds on Genie's 5 pound pilings. She was very amused with those. I decided it was time to try a new bait out today. I tied on the Space Monkey. Had to go through 3 different colors before I could get a bite, but it happened. I was bound and determined to catch fish on that bait. I got 8 of them to be exact.

It was getting close to noon, so we headed back. We hit Fisherman's Landing and worked all the way down to the ramp. I mustered up a 4 pounder, and we hit the road.

It is new to me. As far as the fish being thin, I'm just getting fatter.

Now, the pilings, you've been there. No secret. But just incase, I will text you.
