Post by: BIGSHOW on July 20, 2012, 08:57:59 PM
Does anyone know if ill be able to launch out of elizabeth park this weekend? I heard there were boat races and I didn't know if this effected it. Also not sure if this is the right place to post it, even though I'm goin bass fishing.

Rather than take a chance on possibly getting involved in all that race traffic, I would launch further south at Erie Metro Park.

Do I need a pass there? Or does my state plate pass work?

Neither of these two ramps are MDNR boating access sites so your Recreation Passport won't work for them.

You need a Metropark sticker for the vehicle and for the trailer to launch at any Metropark. You can buy a daily or seasonal pass.

Elizabeth Park is a daily fee each time you launch.

More expensive to launch at Erie if you don't have seasonal passes.  However, Erie metro puts you close to quite a few good fishing areas.
