Anybody working any of the booths at the Ultimate fishing show in Novi this weekend.

I'm not working any of the booths, but I'll sure be stopping by most of them.  I think Blakstr1 and I are taking half the day off on Friday and heading down there for the KVD seminar and to spend a bit of change.  Any recommendations on where we should stop in? ???

Wayne may have a BUNCH of new stuff if the UPS guy and the supplier get in synch pretty quick... I'm hoping. Wayne's been holding out on me and now I'm pretty darn excited. C'mon UPS GUY!!!

Actually, I think Wayne has talked to so many anglers lately, he can't completely remember who he's told what to. If the UPS guy comes through, I will post what is new. I sure would like to see the new stuff for Novi.

I'll be there at Xtreme Bass Tackle/Combat Fishing (http://stores.ebay.com/Xtreme-Bass-Tackle) Thursday evening and Sunday. I'll be wandering too when I can get away with it. See you there!

Dan,

Im gonna stop in Thursday night to say HI.  What time will you be there until?  Gotta pick up some goodies from Goby Wayne Kinobi.

Kev, i might just buy a boat from you to make you look good but that will mean you have to pay everytime we go to Hooters from now on.

Poorboy,
I will buy only if you drink soda. I cannot afford your beer habit and mine, so you loose and I will just support mine.

But seriously, if any of you out there are thinking of buying any kind of boat from a row boat to a fully loaded bass rig come and help a brother out at the wonderland marine booth. You cant miss me, I will be the short fat guy that is losing my hair. I might even have a name tag that says kevin on it.

You just described 1/2 of the show attendees...sans the Kevin name tag...lol

I'll be there at least one day, so I'll stop in and say "hey"...I'll maybe even throw my hat in the ring for inclusion in the "largest post-show beer tab" contest.  Since you're now affiliated with WMW, does that mean you have an expense account?  ;D

I'll be at Wayne's Xtreme Bass Tackle booth 2262 (within spittin' distance of the Wonderland Marine West area - No I won't actually spit on any Rangers) by 4PM (barring mean bosses) at the latest. I'll be there for a while with a break or two to get out some BFL and GreatLakesBass.com brochures.

Ok - you guys are in rare form - I may have to steal the Goby Wayne Kinobi thing?? Just think what Mac could do with that??

It's close to Uni Ben Kinobi (something I called Ben Felton when he was running around in that BRIGHT ORANGE Uniroyal Ranger a few years back...).

Goby Wayne Kinobi - That is hillarious.  He is the St. Clair Jedi Master.  I hope one day the force will be with me as much as master Goby.  See you all on Friday and Saturday.  Friday, I will hopefully be working with Master Goby in the Xtreme booth.

Wow...very funny guys!

There was a day where the DNR and the media made the gobies out to me more like the minions of the Empire.  Looks like the "Force" wins this episode too.

Can I go to, and after words we can hit the clam digger, I have had lots of fun there.
The only problem is one of you guys have to buy. I am saving my pennies so I can afford my new boat.

There is just NO WAY to top that jcheetam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny thing is...

It would probably rock the smallmouth.  You get my vote for tube design of the year and we're not even out of January yet!

lol...you might want to copyright that Dan...if I ever put my tube design into production, I might just steal it!

I think we should go into a partnership with Wayne and PoorBoy so we can use Goby Wayne Kinobi, your tube design and the slogan "Let the farce be with you!!!" (I was going to use "May the farce be with you" but I didn't want George Lucas after me...)

Shoot - that guy who made the wacky wall walker years ago sold a million copies at $1 a piece. Who knows how many Goby Wayne Kinobis you could sell??

I might have to add this to the "why didn't I think of that" category...

got into the show via the 2 for 1 coupon I got in the mail along with a Combat Fishing flyer...Thanks Wayne (or whoever sent it?)  Didn't take me long to make my way to your booth either and snatch up some fo the grn/pkn w/pur/cht.  great combination!

Have to agree with Blakstr here, that new color is sweet.  I generally don't throw more than a couple basic colors, but this one is going to get some time in the rotation any time I am near weeds.

I'm telling you, that is my number one color on St. Clair and quite a few other places too...

Had a great time at the show and enjoyed helping Wayne out on Friday.  Saturday we just walked around and checked everything else out.  The new tubes and grubs look great.  I have to order them though because I didn't get a chance to pick some up.  Grr.

Poorboy, I saw you there by Wayne's booth, but you were busy talking to a few guys, so I figured I wouldn't barge in.

I saw Gaarza ???  I think that's his name?  there working at Wonderland too.  I didn't know you worked for them?

well thats crazy Tom, I was at Wayne's booth Friday, looked right at your name tag...knew I should know the name but didn't realize who you were until right now..otherwise I would've said hi.

All of the members of this board should have gotten name tags with their screen names on them to wear! ;D

See you next time!

That's hillarious!  I kind of thought the same thing the other day.  Next year, I will put Revtro on my name tag!  I did run into a few other people I haven't seen in a long time which was cool too.

So did the show give you all the fix you needed to hold you over until the season starts or did it make you more antsy?  It kind of made me more antsy.  Grrr.

Now that the Ultimate fishing show is over, and I forgot to get Wayne's Marked Map series. I was wondering if he will be at Out-Door-Rama??? I knew I was forgetting something when I was walking away from his booth.

I don't think he will be at Outdoorama. I'm pretty sure anyway.

Just call him at toll free:  877-485-2223

He might have them on the eBay store too - just click the Combat Fishing logo at the top of the forum.

Chase, definitely give him a call.  He'll get the stuff right out to you.  I highly recommend the marked maps.  You hear guys all the time mention landmarks or areas of the lake like you're just supposed to know exactly what they mean.  It can be frustrating.  The marked maps really help you get into the right areas.  Since the lake is so big, you just can't have someone tell you "go fish the St. Clair light" and expect to go there and fish exactly the right area.  The marked maps will help you zero in on the right places to fish.  Plus they give you additional info if you get the newsletter.

Ya Rev, that was me working with Wonderland... You shoulda said something. I don't think we've ever formerly met. This is my second year with them... I help out at the shows and with any other things I can help with... If you ever wanna trade in your BassCat come see me and we can get ya into a Stratos or a Ranger...

I had a great time at the show... I got to meet some of our new Ranger guys which was really cool. It's always nice to meet more people who bass fish... I didn't buy anything except for Kim's video... Sitting around awesome bass boats was good enough for me... I was thinking about sleeping in a rod locker so I didn't have to leave...

How did the show go sales wise for you?  I stopped and talked to Marti N. for a bit, met him last year at a tournament, i think he sold one the first day but don't know much after that, he said the first one was easy...its all uphill from there...

It was pretty slow for me anyway... Saturday was pretty busy... I talked to a bunch of great people though and hopefully we can get them into a new Stratos or Ranger boat...
