Title: North Lake or South Lake in Dexter?
Post by: YpsiBass on May 04, 2012, 09:47:00 AM
Has anyone fished these lakes lately? I haven't been out there in 7 or 8 years and was thinking about hitting them up this summer.  They used to be great largemouth spots.

I fished South Lake last year a couple of times. If you have a larger bass boat, launching can be difficult. It is a dirt launch with no dock. Parking for maybe 3 or 4 vehicles. It fished well both times. I caught some good largemouths. It doesn't get much pressure except for the lake residents.

14' jon with an electric motor.  Launching isn't going to be a problem.  Thanks!

North lake is a great lake to fish.  Have done it for 50 years.

South lake is good as well, with zero boat traffic.  Might be a little big for your electric, but plenty of fish near the launch.
