Saturday, 6:45 a.m., temp 36, water 43-45, water slightly down from this time last year, I'm first boat on lake, 7:19 catch first legal fish of the year on the lake, healthy, chunky keeper-sized bass. Five more before I call it a morning at 10, temp has moved all the way up to 39, wind picked up.
Warmer Sunday, only catch 3 in three hours, wife texts me she has bacon cooking with some hash browns, I call it a day at 9:30. (The bacon, hash browns, eggs, etc. is a Sunday thing. Today I'm back to some Cheerios or toasting a frozen waffle.)
Going back out today...
Thanks for the Report. Sounds like you have a good thing going on!
For reasons unknown... All I can think about is bacon and hashbrowns now!
Was tossing a chatterbait this morning...mindlessly chunkin' and winding, chunk and wind back...Got to thinking, maybe I should fish it slower, let it drop once in a while...Second drop, 3 1/2 lb. grabs it...DUH!!
