Ok I have a Lowrance 125. It comes on the second ya plug it in the back and the backlight runns its 3 setting cycle over and over.
Cracked it open. There was no corrosion in the button area that would cause the power button to keep making contact. Any Lowrance guys got a clue??
Yeah. It's broke. Time to upgrade.
Sorry.
Good sell me one of your older color/ gps/ plotter ones , cheap :D
I have two I can sell you cheap. You will find similar issues with them. Which is why I would sell them to you cheap!! ;D
And I still don't have color myself. I did upgrade a little. My last unit was a Humminbird 767. Nice, accurate GPS.
Maybe someone can suggest something, but in the past when this kind of stuff happened, you sent it in and they told you they would give you a nice credit towards a modern unit. You could check your wiring I guess to see if there is a current problem?
I opened the case. Pretty sure its a short in one of them diodes. Everything was clean in it. The button area is glued tight so I don't wanna blow that up.
It's jsut for the little rowboat that ma uses on the lake here. No biggy if it still does it for her.
I'd love to upgrade , but missed out on that elite 5 combo unit BPS had for 399 with 100 back from lowrance.
Probably. Similar to some of my past issues and it often means 'you need a new graph' or at least a replacement but the older models are pretty much always replacement with credit. Though real old might mean no credit. Don't know their latest policies.
They always tell you not to open those cases too? ;D
Did you check the voltage and contacts on the wires from the battery to the unit? Probably not the issue but I to start with the cheaper simple stuff and work my way up to 'replace with credit' (or maybe 'cheap on sale'). :)
Yea the voltage is ok. It's just annoying at night walleye trolling with a blinking light .
Maybe you could just cut out the light somehow?
Or... maybe it is trying to tell you something? Do you see a pattern in the blinks? Maybe long blinks and short blinks? ;D
I think you can get a brand new Humminbird Piranna for close to $30. If you're just putting it on a row boat, should be more than enough. Now, I did read the word row boat, and I also read trolling for walleye. Boy, mom must have some strong arms! ;D
I've got a 2005 Lowrance 100C I'll let you have for $50. Great shape, works fine, transducer included. Missing a mounting knob.
I was gonna make a portable out of it, but it's been riding the shelf too long.
Let me know if you're interested.

Now there's a deal.
Deal done. Thanks Lightning. Thats one heck of an offer.
Mike::: welllll pops mentioned the other day she wasnt as "active" as she was down in Floriduh. I think he ment "Don't put your TM on it" :D
I thought about it as it would help her strengthen her arms to make longer casts. ;D
Can she row in a straight line?
Wish I would have seen this earlier. My bad. I have several older H-Birds I would let go cheap. They all work too.
