Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources provided GreatLakesBass.com with a clarification on their regulations specifically pertaining to the use of Alabama / castable umbrella rigs stating you can legally fish with up to 4 hooks on the rig. You can leave the 5th wire empty or use a spinner or minnow body with no hook if you choose.

Went Pike fishing Sat and caught about 6 Bass on the A-rig but no Pike.
The Ontario news piece is by far the hottest news about the various Alabama Rig regulations! Not sure I expected that? I guess lots of people want to use an umbrella rig in Lake Erie! Maybe other Ontario waters too?!?
