GreatLakesBass.com has confirmed with Lansing Michigan DNR Fisheries and Law Enforcement Divisions that castable umbrella rigs like The Alabama Rig are legal in Michigan using up to 6 hooks. We talked to Fisheries personnel in the chief's office and then verified with Sergeant Wood in the Law Enforcement Division in Lansing to confirm this information for you.

If you missed it, in a similar story, the Indiana DNR director has temporarily approved up to 5 hooks on umbrella rigs for the rest of 2012 only with review at the end of the season - Indiana DNR approves Alabama Rigs (http://www.greatlakesbass.com/news/blog1.php/2012/03/09/indiana-dnr-approves-alabama-rigs).

I did confirm with Ontario MNR through their official Twitter feed that umbrella / Alabama rigs comply with their regulations with up to 4 hooks.
