Title: Directions To Lakedrive Marina on Secord
Post by: Hooksetter on August 11, 2006, 06:08:14 PM
Can somebody give me directions to Lakedrive Marina on Secord Lake? Also, is there a DNR launch on the lake? Directions for that would be appreciated also.

Thanks in advance

Not too sure about that marina, to get to the marinas that I am aware of; from the corner of M-61 and M-30 go north on M-30 to Secord Dam road.  Go east (it only goes east).  When you get across the lake, there are a couple of marinas to the north (follow the signs).

To get to the publice access sites: both are on the west side of the lake
1.  take M-30 north to W. River drive (I think) then follow the signs this road is not too far north of secord darn road.  It is about a mile from M-30 to the launch
2.  About 5 miles further north.  Take Finkbeiner road east and follow the signs.

Good luck

Thanks for the info Potter, me and my partner went up Saturday morning for the day to do some scouting and fishing on Sage and Secord.

We got to Sage at 6:00 am and it was foggy and 40 degrees >:( so we didn't launch until 7:00am. We had the camera in the water for about 3 hours and fished for about 1 hour. That was the first time I had my camera at Sage and all I can say is WOW! There are ALOT of bass in that lake! I can't say where yet but I will post locations after the tournament. I hope we can catch 7 of them next Saturday. We did manage to catch one 3 lb. LM, but we weren't there to catch, just to find.

By the time we got to Secord it was 1:00pm and already getting crazy out there. We found a pattern pretty quick and caught a small limit in about 2 hours and saw some bigger fish. It was too rough to use the camera, so we called it a day and headed home.

I feel pretty good about our game plan for next weekend's tournaments, I hope the weather co-operates.
