Title: Bye Bye Poorboy...Bye Bye...
Post by: Cheetam on July 21, 2006, 04:39:01 PM
Guys and Gals of GLBass.com...

I don't know if everyone knows this or not, but PB is getting married in a little less than a month (Aug. 18 to be exact).? As a part of his "fairwell to life as you know it" party, we are thinking about having a low-key, fun fishing event the morning of Aug. 12 at Kent Lake in Kensington Metro Park.? We are thinking about meeting up around 8am and fishing for 4 or five hours (off the lake by noon, maybe 1pm) before packing it up, cleaning up, and heading out for Phase II of the operation.?

Who on the board would be interested in meeting up and bidding fairwell to PB while enjoying some time on the water at the same time?

Also, if anyone has some ideas on how to run this event, I'd like to hear them.? I personally would like to have some form or element of competition (whether it be a low-cost tourney, biggest junkfish tourney, etc.).? Any thoughts from the Peanut Gallery?

Poor boy, poor old poorboy....(sigh) you'll be missed.... now you'll only be known as poor husband or the old fat half of the newly improved McCarter's.... ;D

Seriously though my 2nd wife has been a dream come true!!  :-\'

Wish I could come this weekend but my wife's birthday is this Saturday, oh yeah, that is something i had to give up when i got married!! ;D  actually not too bad, i think that was only #127 in the list of give ups!! Ha...

Congratulations to you, married life is actually pretty great, i couldn't imagine being without my wife.  i'm to homely to be single.

Enjoy fellas and have a great time!

I'd like to.
I'd like to fish that lake with somebody that knows it.  I never, and I mean never have any luck there at all.  (six trips, and only 1 smallie over the past few years.)

I can bring my 16' boat, or I can ride with somebody else.
