sittng here surfing around and found this pic of a mini sub on the pier at Muskegon. ( I think that is what it is ) That would be a lot more fun than a HB998.
you locals get bored might be fun to check out.
I don't think they'll see very much from there?!?
I think that is UM research sub. My neighbor heads up the engineering dept it belongs too.
I wonder if fishstick is in there?!?
I believe that is a Grand Valley weather station. It was anchored on the south east end of Muskegon lake for quite some time. You couldn't miss it when leaving Fisherman's Landing. They have put several different devices on the lake this past year to research the currents and so forth on the lake.
A guy I work with fills me in on these things. His dad works on the Grand Valley research boat that is kept here in Muskegon. I was told that the device sitting on the pier was supposed to go a ways out in Lake Michigan for the winter. They can't leave it anywhere in the lake that will ice up. I will ask him about it when I see him again on Tuesday, and let you know exactly what it is and what it's for.

I guess fishstick probably isn't in there then.
Nope I don't think I would fit! Plus the big lake looks way to calm for them to send me out for any research!
Yeah. You like the rough stuff... ;D
