Same here. I put mine up at the beginning of November because I was going to be out of town all that month. If I had left it out I could have fished most of December! I stopped by Kent Lake this week just to make a few casts from shore and sure wish I had my boat out. Hopefully I'll get my bigger garage built next year so I don't have to winterize.

I see a dusting of snow on the ground here in Livonia, but the pond in my yard has no ice on it yet!  Definitely winterized too soon.

Well said Mike!  We will catch smallies Monday.  Thanks to the crap we got last night, I just spent a good hour getting all the salt off my boat.  Went perch fishing on White this morning with my dad and an uncle of mine.  We got a few nice ones, and I'd still be out, but my dad got ornery.  We forgot the anchor and it's pretty windy out there today.  So, I brought them back and they went back out in my uncle's little puddle jumper with an anchor.  This winter rules!!!!

Got my Fortrex mount back Thrusday... If I can get it back on the boat in the very near future I may even use my boat in January!!  Then I figure why bother winterizing it... I'll just have it back out in March anyway!

Does tipping the motor down count as winterizing?  If so it gets winterized twice each time I pull it out of the water.  Once before the transom saver goes on and again when I get it in the garage.

That, fuel stabilizer, and some fogging oil if it's going to sit for more than a couple weeks.  That's about it!

really a strange winter.  no ice and ducks swimming all over my lake.  did see a couple kayakers out yesterday.

went for a walk at Kensington today.  some ice in the back bays but the main lake is open.  water is pretty low now.

at least the days are getting longer now.

think spring.
