Title: Hardy
Post by: rybo on October 20, 2011, 09:52:06 AM
Can anyone give me a few good spots or pointers on Hardy?  I am heading up there on Saturday and I have little experience on this body of water.  I would like to chase some smallies!  Thank you all!!

Flats, points and the weed edges associated with them should get you some fish.

Don't be afraid to spend some time looking shallow too... roamers are usually big fish!!

Will do!!  I went up to Traverse a few weeks ago and fished the east bay and smoked the smallies!  We caught about 50-60 fish with several in the 3-5lb range.  We have a pontoon on Hardy, so I rarely get the chance to bring the bass boat out on Hardy, so I lack the knowledge of that lake.

Thank you for helping out!

Hardy is great in the fall,  I grew up spending all my weekends there in the fall.  Try crankbaits and lipless cranks up on the big flats in 12 - 14 foot of water down past BigBend park if thats not working go up to Rogers bridge and drag jigs.  If all that fails the sure thing just to catch a couple of fish is jerkbaits around the 2 islands up from Bigbend.  Good luck and let us know what you catch I think Ill be headed up that way next weekend.
