With 20+ MPH winds and gusts to 40 Friday and Saturday out of the North, expect a lot of mud coming down from St. Clair's south shore.

You may want to wait until the end of next week.  My plan was to be out there this weekend too.  Too windy today with the rain that is in the area.  Should be better tomorrow, but I think I am opting for an inland lake.  Thinking about the Portage Chain as my club has their last event there next Sunday. The river will be muddy until mid-week.  That has been my experience in the past.

Tomorrow will be just as windy.  Monday may be your best option.  However, the weather stabilizing will be key.  Although the weather doesn't effect the river fishing too much, muddy water will.  That's why I am opting for next weekend.  I am planning on taking Friday off to fish.  Somewhere closer on Saturday as my son has a morning soccer game.  Then on Sunday, it's either out to the Portage Chain for the club tournament, or to Erie Metro for more big water fishing.

I was checking out houses on Portage last year. I would love to walk out my back door and just fish. Then things kinda got crazy at work and its looking like I may have to relocate. At least I hope I stay in Mich.
