Title: wixom lake freeze out
Post by: rustydog on September 24, 2011, 08:03:52 AM
I have been gone for a couple weeks and am getting ready to leave for two more and was wondering if the freeze out is on for this year and what date for sure. Sure hope for early bite on Mullet but wife can't miss the Halloween weekend. Hey Dan we missed you the last couple years, it not the same without all the guys of the past years.

I heard the Freeze out was on Saturday Oct. 8th this year. 50 dollars per person or 100 per boat. I think it starts at the DNR launch on the tobacco side. Show up at 6:30 am to pay and I believe take off is at 7

Is anyone willing to provide information on where these huge smallies are coming from on Wixom Lake?  I have only caught a couple of smaller smallies.  Each tournament I see big smallies.
