B.A.S.S. tournament officials and Nate Wellman have mutually agreed that Mr. Wellman will not fish any Bassmaster tournaments until March 2012. Mr. Wellman will not compete in the Bassmaster Northern Open this week in Syracuse, N.Y., and as a consequence of his withdrawal, Mr. Wellman will be ineligible to compete in the 2012 Bassmaster Classic.

Well...that's to bad...kind of seems like the right thing to do though....I hope this makes him a stronger fisherman next year...
We will eventually see. Some people on the Internet still think the punishment isn't enough. Seems like the punishment is pretty strong.
I try to follow all the Great Lakes region anglers that I'm familiar with through the news outlets that I have access to. I like the positive news a lot better but sometimes we need to know about the negative too for reasons I've already said so I won't repeat.
