I have a few days off the week after the 4th. With all the talk of LSC, and never being there other than to ice fish off from Selfridge I am hoping to get out that week. With that said, I obviously know where the ramp is at Selfridge, and I know were the metro beach ramp is. Could anyone at least point me in the right direction as to were I might want to look for a few smallies? And is there any spots as far as hazards that I should stay away from that are not obvious? How far of a run should I expect, etc??? (I'm not looking at going into Canadian water, at least not right now)
Anything would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Pat
Pat - I don't fish Anchor Bay a lot, but I'm hearing they are still picking up fish in the scattered weeds right out from Selfridge (with the weights that came out of there this yaer, I should change my own practice). Start looking for scattered weeds in 5 foot or so between the ramp and North to the Salt River. You can head straight out to the 8 to 10 foot too where you'll find sand flats with a few weed edges and small drops. Those can be good still this time of year.
Later for me, they have become inconsistent, but good weights come out of there sometimes too. Out as far as the A buoy and Belvedere Bay (the little bay between Selfridge and the Clinton River).
