Xtreme Bass Tackle Emerald Shiner Hologram tubes are my favorite. Snap-jigging. Or a fairly natural spinnerbait or a white crankbait.

A crankbait in a shiner pattern as well as a spinnerbait in a natural shiner type of color.  There are several different tubes that imitate them.  As long as the pattern resembles a shiner, it's all about the presentation once you have the bait that resembles a shiner........

There is no magical bait. There are good tools (lures) and better tools, and then there is using the right tool in the right spot so it seems magical.

I've been beat in plenty of tournaments by anglers fishing a fairly plain and simple tool (lure) selection over the years because they're really good at fishing them in the right spots.

Confidence in being able to find the better spots and choose the better tool will go a long ways toward making a lure seem magical too.
