i know some people love these things, and this one is cheap for a 24volt model and if it dosn't work maybe someone can use it for parts.
just passing the word
I have one that I believe has a flatspot in the motor...It quits working intermititenly.....I tried a new switch..No luck...It is in great shape cosmetically...Someone can pretty much have it if they want to come and get it or meet up with me...
I tried to give it away last year and couldn't get any takers...
These are highly prized motors for some....
I haven't seen one on a boat in a looonnngg time. I thought their popularity faded or they just all finally wore out.
the go fast guys like them b/c there very light weight
I originally had one of those on my boat. When it died, I bought one off of eBay. When that one died, I ended buying a Minn Kota from Cabela's Bargain Cave for about 50% off retail as it was brand new and discontinued. I actually bought two because they were small. ::) I got jokes today......... Anyway, the old Johnson/Evinrude trolling motors were pretty reliable in their day. You can still find them occasionally on eBay.
