Title: Lakemaster or Navionics
Post by: StarBoard7 on August 09, 2011, 09:04:51 PM
Hello all,

Just bougth a Lowrance HDS -5 unit and was wondering which chip is the best for the western/central basin of lake Erie and having some ohio inland lakes would be a plus also.

Lakemaster and Navionics seem to be the go to's is one better than the other for Erie?

The last chip I bought was for my Low 522c igps it was the Navionics Premium 2009 and it seemed to work ok but I wish there was a little more detail ecspecially on the wetern basin of erie.

Any opinions or thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks

I'm using Navionics. I've seen the Lakemaster but liked the details of the Navionics better. They are so similar that it comes down to personal preference.
