Title: Fishing with a Legend - the story
Post by: djkimmel on July 12, 2011, 06:59:45 PM
cameraguy got some video put together of my day on Lake St. Clair with Bob Brunner, the Legend, last October. It's completely my fault we didn't do a lot better. I literally had 10 different fish I missed somehow before getting a small muskie, a pike and some largemouth bass that hit Brunner Runner bucktails as big as they were! I had one BIG muskie that hit me 3 times and I still didn't get it somehow. I'm just going to blame it on nerves. Bob and cameraguy caught some bass too but I hogged all the toothy critter bites for some reason (Bob had a theory).

I really enjoyed the day and like the video. I hope you will too!

When I'm with Muskie Bob, I'm definitely 'the boy.' ;D

He's a lot of fun to hang out with!

Anchor Bay the last time one was caught. There have been some real giants caught over the years though I haven't found specifics on any over 8 pounds in a number of years. Wouldn't surprise me if they're out there considering there have been quite a few 7+ pound smallies caught for a while not with at least one over 8 pounds this year.

If everyone only knew the 'beating' I took that day... I probably deserved it! (Sorry about the word censor police thing too)

Dan, you did take a beating that day, from the fish and us, some of which did not make it in the video. But you gotta admit it was still fun. Bob is a hoot!
