Title: NW Michigan 1st week of July
Post by: uptonfish on June 13, 2011, 07:34:23 PM
I am making my bi-annual trip up to the Frankfort area just wondering what lakes are "hot" and what stage the fish are at right now.  I know our spring down here in Missouri has been weird.  Thanks for any info.

Are bass spawning up in that area yet?  Our spawn is just getting done down here when it is usually done a month earlier.  Thanks for the info

Many of the bass are spawning or already done in that area. They are apparently just starting to move up on Grand Traverse Bay. Every time the wind shifts and blows the colder surface water around it moves the bass in or out.

I saw so many bass on beds last week on some of the Northern Michigan lakes I couldn't believe it! I was farther North.

Sounds like there may be some post spawn action by the time I am up there.  Thanks for the info

Bring some topwaters. That might be fun.
