Friends I have figured out a few of the frogs that we are having a lot of success with over the last few weeks. We having been fishing them like crazy over the last month but the weather has not been to kind to us. This is all a work in progress to me as I continue to work hard produce the best Bass Frog on the Market.

6# Green Tree Frog
Has yellow belly like the northern green frog also comes with two sets of legs one yellow, and one green. We have a great deal of hits and hooked a lot fish with this frog.
Tested at Portage Lake in Pickney, Sand Lake near Tawas, Loonship bay on the AuSable River near Oscoda, Cornwall Flooding by Gaylord, and many other lakes. Heading to Fletchers pond in two weeks to test if anyone wants to go please let me know.
Species Caught: Large mouth, Northern Pike.

#2 Light Brown Pickerel Frog
A native species to Michigan this frog is performing well too mainly at dusk and dawn in shallow water around reeds and high grass. Frog has two sets of legs yellow and brown. Tested in same areas as the Tree Frog.

Species caught: Largemouth, Northern pike, Smallmouth using skitter legs and a stinger hook

#5 Black and Yellow Poison Dart Frog
This one had me thrown for a loop I could not figure it out until one of my testers pointed out the painter turtles in the area. We have caught fish all day with this frog using skitter legs and it's black set. We believe the fish think it is a small painter turtle either way they just crush this frog by timber, lily's, and reeds. Tested in same area as other frogs.
Species caught: Largemouth and Northern Pike

#4 Brown Spotted Bull Frog
Works the same as the Pickerel frog with the same success. A angler in Texas just caught two bass over ten pounds with this frog.

Thanks for offering a special benefit to GreatLakesBass.com members! What color would you recommend for me to try a mixture of clear water and murky backwater areas? I'm undecided.

 Dan,

We have had the best luck with the #6 tree frog with the yellow belly in fact we are considering renaming it the Northern green bullfrog because it resembles them so much. Either the yellow standard legs or the skitter legs work great with the this frog. Works good in either murky or clear water and is the most common frog found in Michigan.

The #2 pickerel frog Is another common frog found he in Michigan and they work really well in clear water around timber and reeds. The white belly along with the brown legs seem to drive the fish crazy. Frogs also work well around lily's and shallow coves in bigger waters with skitter legs.

The #5 poison dart frog is producing really well around Lilly pads and timber in the water. We believe the fish think it is a turtle. Works really well in murky water and canals between lakes and back waters.

Skitter legs will be available June 15th, Ken wanted to wait until Icast to release them but I pushed to release them sooner because our season is short compared to other parts of the country.

I attached a few picks sorry about the quality I am in Gaylord and I have limited access to my equipment.

Top water is starting to heat up on the AuSable river just below the loud dam. Caught nice 4.10 pound Bass and few other smaller ones. Green #6 with yellow belly is still hot along with either the #2 Light brown pickerel and the #4 brow spotted bullfrog.
