Went out to orchard lake today with a good friend of mine. We fished from 6am-1 pm. Water temp was 62-65 degrees. Caught a number of sub legal bass. Mixed bag of smallies and largies. Lots of fish roaming the shallows. Caught a few off beds around apple island. A berkly gulp leech on a dropshot was the hot ticket along with the square bill crankbait in bluegill and pumpkinseed pattern. Hardly any breeze or any people on the lake for that matter. Biggest was a 20" largie that wacked a buzzbait in the slop. I have to upload pic from my phone. Also had a nice big ugly pike that decided to unhook himself at boat side. ;D Nice.
I went out Memorial day from 8:45 to 1 pm. Caught a 17.5" smallie, a couple of 13" lm, and a 27" pike. Sm on a wacky senko, lm's on a spinnerbait, and the pike on a dropshot (3" fluke). I'll be back....
