So, on the way home from my doctor's appointment today I suggested to my girlfriend that we stop at Gander Mtn on the way back home. Long story short, I walked ou with a St. Croix Mojo Bass Jig-n-Worm rod paired with a Shimano Citica 200E. Best part was that the reel was 25% off and so were all of the jigs and plastics we bought. Can't wait to try out my new gear this year! I also realized that I am one lucky SOB to have a woman that supports and condones my obsession.
It is very awesome to have a woman like that. My wife bought me a Mojo spinning rod for Christmas, and I just got off the lake from breaking it in. Caught 20+ largemouth on it tonight. Me likey!!!!!
Awesome to hear about the break in trip! I need to have me one of those. Would be a great time to get out on the water and throw my new jigs!
Sweet! I have the Mojo crankbait 7'MHM rod and it is a good stick for the money. I have 2 Citicas that are about 4-5 years old and are still as smooth as new.
y know - I heard about them there rods ..... must be something to em ? Would be a crime if I didnt get one huh ?
I don't know Mojo, if it isn't a crime it should be. Know what else is a crime? That I won't be able to use my new gear until Saturday and that's if the weather cooperates. No big water for me, just a nice gravel pit turned private lake surrounded by lots of rich people who don't fish! ;D
Don't forget to get your free shirt/hat/decal from stcroix.info on their website.

Mike, you had me going.... I read it as you "broke the rod fishing" lol I thought you were still being haunted by the black cloud. By the sounds of your trip, it seems to be dissipating. :)

It makes sense to me, that you have a Mojo Rod !!!!!!
Finally got to put the gear to use today at a local pond. Managed a 2 pounder from right under a log about 5 feet from the shore. ;D Nothing like the first fish on a new technique.

I've been known to break a rod here and there, that's funny. No, that was an awesome trip. Probably the most fun I have ever had on Muskegon.
