Title: Boaters and Non-boaters I have now for St Clair May 14, 2011 UPDATED 5/12/2011
Post by: djkimmel on May 07, 2011, 01:57:04 AM
Here is just a list of the boaters and non-boaters I have down right now.

Some of the boaters are bringing family members, new members or friends along and are already taken (in red) so even though I have 27 boaters, I don't have 27 available. This should still be the biggest turnout! 14 boaters available with maybe 1 more having to cancel for family reasons as of 5/10/2011.

Unless someone wants to donate a few hundred, I'm a nonboater now. Oil pump is done on the boat, don't have the money to fix it right now. Still planning on coming over, though that can change at any time too. If I find a generous soul I will let you know if I'm still coming as a boater. Sorry for messing up the numbers Dan, not my intention.

hey fire fighter jeff(KVD)  Get your butt on the boater side!!  Or maybe Dan will squeeze you and my b-in law together on my boat.  And he brings a lot of "extra"  rods.

If it helps, Dan, I can be a non-boater.   Not a problem.  Just let me know if you want to move me to the other list.

The non-boater list, that is...not THAT other list!    :D

Unfortunately, I need boaters. I was tight on boaters and now I'm down maybe 5 boats. As usual at this one every spring... I hope you can stay a boater. Let me know.

Hey DK my 95% is now 100 %. I hooked up with Mike and plan on riding over with him. I know you probably don't want to hear from another nonboater, but if it works out at this late date let me know, if not I totally understand.

Hey Dan, as you know I signed up as a non boater.  I was hoping to get paired up with someone that has fished St. Clair more than me, so maybe I can learn more about the lake, and not spend the gas money hauling the boat that far.  But if you need boaters I can haul it it up.  Just as long as some of the experienced St. Clair guys give me some way points.  !!!!  LMAOOOOOOOO   :D  ;D  jk jk jk  I can bring the boat if needed.  Let me know.   Jeff

Oh and Brad, I plan on fishing with you that weekend.  You better make arrangements.  :)

Hey - My GLB friends, sorry to say, I'm the Director of Waterford Little League, and we have picture day on the 14th. At best I would have to be back in Waterford by 2 - pm.. At worst 10 am.

So worse case - cannot fish, but will coordinate with one of you awesome guys to get the supplies I promised for the event.
Best Case       -Be paired with a boater who isnt fishing all day and can come in around noon or 1 pm. (Or is fishing Muskamoot Bay and can run me across to the dock  ::)   :o   ;D  )

Chime in for any input or help .....

If I can find someone to answer a question about my motor, my boat is seaworthy and Veronica and I wont need a ride. May even take Suckerslayer with me, although I didnt want his first time on St Clair to be with another amature. Anyone who knows about motors, please call me. 810-394-1820. Don L changed my impeller last fall. I never really got a chance to try the boat afterwards. I hooked it up to those ears yesterday, and just a spit of water is coming out at idle. I need to know if my motor is going to make it. Thanks

Mike if you have a trolling motor on your rig you can have a great time in the metro canals. It is great fun for kids, I take my 4 year old all the time. Dan I will give you a 60-40 chance, I will attend as a boater. All I ask is that you pair me with one guy and not three, my rig has small deck space. I will even throw a bone to all the guys that are not familiar with LSC. The fish are very scattered right now, the best bet for LSC Rookies is to work 6-8 FOW on the mile roads; no one spot is the key you will have to work in and out until you lock on the pre spawners. I spent the last two weeks running around, the water is still cold but should warm to the high 50's low 60's by the weekend. Hope this helps. For LSC First timers, if you genuinely need a starting point, give me a call (586) 404-2749. Chris

Getting closer. I was looking at my last update. It feels like it was 2 weeks ago considering the number of messages I went through... but it's been less than 2 days!! ;D

13 available boaters and 16 non-boaters who need rides. I have one boater who still might not be able to make it. Anyone else who hasn't already confirmed, I'm not going to count on for now.

If I get one more person to switch over to boater, I can triple up in my boat and we are all set then as long as no other changes or cancellations! (yeah, right ;D)

I haven't been over there yet, but I do hear the bass are biting. Based on Facebook stories, I think everyone should follow whomever Firefighter Jeff fishes with!!

As soon as the changes slow down to a crawl, I draw the rest of us and match people up.

Thanks for that. I have boaters dropping like flies the past few days...

Thanks to a couple non-boaters who have switched over to boaters we are at about 3 boats needing to triple up at the moment.

I still can't do a draw of the rest. About every 3 (or less) hours I'm getting another change. It needs to slow down a little before I will do a draw. Thanks for your patience.

I'm following you, I was on St Clair last Saturday but I was in the canals with my 3 and 6 yr old boys so I have no idea what I am doing this year and I have to go to houghton lk this Friday to meet host people about the TBF state championship so no pre fishing for me,  maybe I will draw someone who does know something  :-\'

For anyone interested it does sound like houghton will be doing a pig roast for all the TBF championship participants.
