Fished Payne Lake Monday morning for about four hours. Water temp was 52 degrees. I was hoping to catch a few pike because we always seem to catch them here when we have bass tournaments. Threw jerk baits, blades, kvd 1.5, Darters, and Red Eye Shads. Caught two bass on the darter and one one the Red Eye Shad. I really thought they should of been biting better. Water was a little high, but the color wasn't too bad. I would have hit the lakeshore, but I could only fish the morning.
