Two men were fishing yesterday and their boat began taking on water about 4:30pm. By the time the Coast Guard arrived Hassen Randel was unresponsive and pronounced dead soon after. Another man, unidentified, was treated for hypothermia and should fully recover. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the individual.
These situations always open my eyes to how dangerous such an enjoyable activity can quickly become.
It happens all the time.... everywhere. You can never be to prepared.
