You aren't messing around, are you? I'm amazed at how well setup many kayak anglers are now.
Yeah lol fishing kayaks have come a long way over the years, there are some very nice rigs out there.
Nice Kayak!!
I talked to a number of Great Lakes Bass members at the spring fishing shows so far this year who told me they use a kayak for a lot or even most of their bass fishing now. I told them I would get this section started so I expect as things start warming up and they see I finally got my act together, we will see some more kayak pictures. I know. It's hard to stop to take pictures sometimes when the fish are biting! :D
This is a Yak launch on the Chip
A nice pig I got on my yak
Here is my kayak in portage lake.
Another pic on portage lake
Hate to admit most of my seat time in my yak is floating down the Platte River to Lake MI in the summertime. Always wanted to use the yak there to catch cohos in the fall in Platte Bay but usually fishing smallmouths on local lakes.
great use of a dry storage compartment for the battery gauge. Im looking to modify my Freedom Hawk Pathfinder with a livewell. Any ideas?

You know... I haven't seen much discussion anywhere about that, but you know some anglers have done it! We are a creative breed! I'll try to get the attention of some more kayak anglers so we can find some ideas.

Start bringing a rod with a tube on it, all the holes from Riverside down have fish! BIG ones too!

Thanks for signing up and getting involved! I was checking out some of the kayaks at the Ultimate Sport Show last week - they're starting to look more like tournament-rigged bass boats! This is still on my todo list. I see more and more people fishing this way.

Mines got lots more than what this picture shows. Ill take some pics and post em around the second week of april when I take her out on the river!
Sounds like a good deal. Some day I need to setup a kayak rigging seminar somewhere! I personally know I would need good tips on how to not lose everything when I tip over. Because I'm going to do that for sure!

You'd be surprised, they're quite hard to tip.
You'd be surprised, I'm really good at it!!! ;D
I have been told they're a lot more clumsy-proof now. Some I saw at the USS-GR show were very wide compared to all the old ones I've seen from the past. Like I said, they were extremely complex too. I guess that's okay considering how bass boats have evolved over the years. Especially if they make them safer for clumsy anglers! :)
I have 2 Field and Stream Eagle Talon 12ft Yaks... The wife and I love them in lakes and rivers. The perfect size and cost for us. Can be bought at Dicks Sporting good.... Look for the sales.
