I want to win this event.... 8^)
We did Kent last year. I believe almost everyone weighed a fish. BobO is usually the organizer. Just wanted to get it started.
I've been trying to fish a Frog more this year
I'd be interested
Depends on where and when it is.
MAKE A POLL WITH LAKES AND DATES
Kent was fine, I'm just hoping we can use all slop baits. We can agree on what a slop bait is at the ramp.
Kent is a really good Frog (slop) bait due to the large weed beds. I'd be up for doing it again.
I don't normally fish a lot of top water, so it was fun to be forced to do it the entire tournament.
Terry
BobO had started it. I was.waiting for him to respond. Didn't want to steal his event. I say Kent.
I'm in if the date works.
OK
I like Kent. It's close
If it's Kent.... I'll pass.. LOL
come up with a date and I have no conflicts, the capt will be there to defend his title, how bout you bad to the bone team up again ? you're a good net man. ;D
MEH
Yeah yeah - Chralie catches one fish, yada yada yada...
But I'm in where ever as long as it doesn't clash with my club events. I've got to beat Charlie, I think we are in a virtual tie for 4th place right now.

How about August 20 or 21. Kent Lake. East Launch. Don't remember if we did a Saturday or Sunday last year. 10.00 a person with 5.00 going to BB4B. The other 5 going for Big Bass of the day. I think that's what we did last year. I have a scale.
Or someone else come up with a plan.

Now that funny right there !!!
keep them ideas coming in. Would like to see it happen.
Anyone ever fish Stoney Creek ? Heard that's sloppy ?
Never been to Stony. Looks like a good lake. I want a lake that is quiet. Kent or Stoney. I don't fish weekends because of all the boat traffic.
Stoney is definitely a slop lake, but I think Kent is a better lake to go with. It fishes better and isn't as congested with people (obviously Kent can get packed as well).
I like Kent because it is centrally located. In case some of the Westies want to drive over.
Well lets go with Kent, August 21st. Who is in ? Let's start signing up pairs !!!!
I'll see if Derek can fish this with me again.
I wish I had gotten in on this discussion earlier to suggest Ovid. It's a bit farther for us Eastsiders but it's a great slop/frog lake. It's a quiet, no wake lake, so very peaceful. I still might come if it's Kent, but I hate that lake because it clearly hates me. ;)
I am in for Kent the 21st. I have a scale and tub for weighing fish.
Kent on the 21st sounds good to me!
I'm out. Can't do Sundays. Work day for me.
I'm in.
Fished there last Thursday. There is plenty of Slop on the north end of the lake. Does not seem like a lot of interest. Everyone must be out looking for Pokemon.

Made a list on the first page because I wanted to see what not a lot of interest looks like.
We doing this. If not I will make other plans for that day.
I spent all my fishing (gas) money on a new computer. Not sure I'll be able to make it.
I'm waiting to hear back from Derek on whether or not he can fish that day. He's looking at his schedule.
i'm out of town that weekend
I am going to back out so you will be even. Got to get the wife ready for her big show in Sault St Marie the week after. Have fun all.
Told Mojo that I'm out of town this weekend. Bummer!
If we fish it I'd be fishing it with Derek. He says he can do it but are we going to do it anyway with so few competitors? Let me know for those of you who said you'd go.
Well, Manxfishing is out for Sunday. I'm thinking we call it off for this weekend since at best there's 2 boats??
I would if I were you. We are going to go to a different lake for something different to do.
Sorry to back out but 2 boats, maybe 3 isn't enough interest to keep us going. We should schedule for next year ahead of time later this fall and see if the chips fall better with more time for people to prepare?
I see there is a tournament there today so guess it's probably best we are not in there way.
That might have seemed more crowded and less productive. Though our day on Lake Hudson was not what I would call productive either...
So did this ever happen?
I would love to get on this, I would not be competitive but would have fun trying, I have never caught a fish on one but tried quite a bit for an hour at a time this year.
Doing this would most likely help me a lot.
Did not happen this year but if bob o would schedule one for next year maybe you'll get another shot at it. Keep posting on the forum. The best way to learn things and get to know more anglers!
do i dare, bring it back to Ovid next summer? no rain, no rain, no rain
No rain!
i'll pick the month
August
someone else pick the weekend ::) i'm good with that
Went out the Kent yesterday for a drive. Lots of slop in the river and out towards the lake. Might have to go Punching next week.
My dumb question.
Is frog season over? or is this just about getting the date that works for everyone?
Frog season isn't over but it's hard to get a date that everyone can make because there are club events and all those other 2,000 bass tournaments, along with family and job duties to deal with when trying to schedule an event anglers will make.
if it rains its your fault not mine, ha any takers.......hmmmmm
I don't mind taking the fault for rain if you pick the date and lake for next year!
